Phytochemistry
The principle ingredients of
Adhatoda vasica are alkaloids vascine and vascionine
1.
Cinnamomum zeylanicum contains water extractable L-arabino-D-xylan, D-glucan, diterpenes, cinnzeylanin, cinnzeylanol and tannin (cinnamm & tannin B1)
2. The seeds of
Amomum subulatum contain the glycosides, petunidin
3,5-diglucoside and leucocyanidin-3-O-ß-D-glucopyranoside, and a new aurone glycoside, subulin. The principle ingredients of
Piper nigrum are amide pipwaqarine3, nigramides
4, isobutyleicosatrienamide, pellitorine, trachyone, pergumidiene and isopiperolein B
5, pipnoohine, pipyahyine
6, piptigrine
7, amide alkaloids N-isobutyl-hexanoyl-hydroxypyrrolidin-one, erythro-(oxo-dihydroxy-E-decaenyl)-piperidine, threo-(oxo-dihydroxy-Edecaenyl)- piperidine, threo-N-isobutyl-dihydroxy-E-octaenamide, (dioxo- E-E-decadienyl)-piperidine, [oxo-(methylenedioxy-methoxyphenyl)-Zpropenyl] piperidine, and [oxo- (methylenedioxyphenyl)-Z-Epentadienyl]- pyrrolidine

Piper longum are E-Nisobutyl-eicosa-dienamide, E-Z-N-isobutyl-eicosa-trienamide, E-Z-Nisobutyl- ocatadeca-trienamide, guineensine, pipernonaline, pellitorine, piperine, piperanine, and piperlonguminine

Zingiber officinale are Zingiberene (A & B), zingiberol

12. Nisadal is a kind of white crystalline mineral substance which has mucolytic and expectorant properties.
Clinical Pharmacology
Lobodil covers all mediators which act as broncho-constrictors, performs as a mast cell stabilizer and prevents the release of inflammatory mediators which leads to various kinds of allergic cascade. Moreover, Lobodil has a strong anti-bacterial, bronchodilating, mucolytic and expectorant actions.
Indications
Bronchitis and bronchial congestion.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
Adverse Effects
Not found in clinical trial. May safely be continued for a longer period.
Special Precautions
Abrupt discontinuation of existing anti-asthmatic treatment should not be done.
Dosage
In the morning in empty stomach and one hour before meal at night at least for 90 days.
Adult: 10 g twice daily.
Children: 5 g twice daily.
Preferably to be taken with Honey.
Presentation
Sealed pack of 100 g of powder.
