Composition

Each 10ml contains

Mulethi (Glycyrrhiza glabra) 95mg
Brahmi (Hydrocotyle asiatica) 50 mg
Kurchi (Holarrhena antidysenterica) 50mg
Prabal bhasma (Corallium rubram) 50 mg


Phytochemistry

The active ingredients of Glycyrrhiza glabra are Kanzonol1, 2, glabridin, hispaglabridin (A & B), omethylglabridin, hydroxy-o-methylglabridin3, 4, 5, prenylphaseollin isoflavan6, and licoagrosides (A & B) 7. The main chemical constituents in Hydrocotyle asiatica are asiaticoside, which is a triterpene glycoside, brahmoside and brahminoside, which are saponin glycosides and madecassoside, a glycoside. The plant is also a source of vitamin K, magnesium, calcium and sodium. The principle ingredients of Holarrhena antidysenterica are antidysentericine8 and other alkaloids9


Clinical Pharmacology

Pepsto capsule exerts powerful anti-bacterial action against Helicobacter pylori. Pepsto capsule enhances the mucosal barrier to the diffusion of acid. The anti-inflammatory action of Pepsto capsule relieves the painful symptoms. Pepsto capsule promotes faster healing of the ulcer by increasing levels of GABA and also suppresses the activation of pepsinogen and provides long-term relief.

Pepsto capsule enhances gastric pH and exerts antacid action. Pepsto capsule is clinically validated for safety and efficacy.


Indications

Peptic ulcer.


Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.


Adverse Effects

Not found in multi-centric clinical trials. Safe for long term use.


Special Precautions

None.


Dosage

1 capsule twice a day ½ hour. before meals. And 1 capsule at bed time or as directed by the physician.
